Month: September 2012
I was drawing 2 minute self portraits of guests at an event in conjunct with London Drawing today which was great fun! I did a few timed portraits of myself to warm up.
Using my Space Doll again has made me feel all nostalgic! Here’s a little write up on that collection from New Designers back in 2009 -This collection really set my creative style :
Last day to apply and I decided to enter 2 pieces into the RWA Open Exhibition: my signature 7ft fabric Space Doll Banner and one of my ‘Surreal Fashion Doll’ paintings (exhibiting the original piece(s)
I still have a few ltd Edition Fashion Doll prints available to purchase on the ‘Premier Art’ website:
Last night I taught a workshop in collaboration with Esprit / RCA / London Drawing Fashion launch event.
Groups of Fashionista guests were being shown walked around the store to try their hand at 10 minute art workshops: I was tutoring on the vintage style paper doll table, inspiring people to come up with new print/colour ideas for the outfits on their doll.
An extremely fun, inspirational evening!
I bought these adorable salt and pepper shakers at a vintage shop in Nottinghill last week, they are a birthday gift for my friend but I’m sure I’ll be incorporating drawings of them into my work at some point.
