Month: December 2015
Well 2015 is drawing to a close and what a fantastic, busy twelve months its been..just a few highlights being:
NHS commission for Baby Gym at and solo exhibition of my works at the James Wigg Practice, sell out Art auction in aid of Help Counselling in Notting Hill, launch of my vegan cushion label at Petit Miracles Hub, private commissions for: weddings, babies rooms, anniversaries, portraits and not forgetting wonderful teaching and workshop opportunities in which I’ve had the pleasure of teaching what I love the most…
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone whose bought from me, been to my shows and generally for all your support throughout…I appreciate it so very much..
Have a wonderful 2016! xx
Boyfriend’s Mummy loves her illustrated “Baby Bird” cushion which I gave as her Christmas gift.
A little pet cushion commission I completed for a dear friend to give her husband on Christmas Day….featuring beloved doggie pet “Godfrey” to go with the cushion of her gorgeous Persian cat ‘Sooty’.
The ‘Godfrey Dog’ cushion was made using colour and pattern to compliment the vintage floral background of ‘Sooty Cat’….I think they look delightful together….
I’d like to consolidate all of my design ideas (from my present sketchbook) into one large piece to create an eclectic, kitsch ceramic box (like a toy box but to serve as a trinket holder for adults).
The illustrations on the outside will serve as a visual diary which capture everything which inspires me from vintage dolls and florals to kitsch, childlike puppy illustrations.
This keepsake box will be used to hold treasured items of sentimental value, reminiscent of childhood memories and nostalgia….
