Here is the result of  four print and embroidery workshops with ‘the knit and chat’ group at Splash Arts. The theme running through each of the sessions was WW2, women’s role during the war and influencing female fashion from the 30’s to the 50’s.

In the class we explored screen-printing, mono-printing, appliqué and hand-embroidery and participants created individual samples each week on our theme…it was great fun!

My first Narrative

Posted on

Hi everyone, my apologies for being so quiet of late, I have been studying for an Illustration MA and between studying and teaching I have been working non-stop up until now.

Anyway, below is a look at my first ever narrative project (a story aimed at girl’s aged 7-9) called ‘Kitty And The Crocodile’, it is a story of friendship and acceptance, designed to be emotive and sweet.

After I finish my course in September it is my aim to publish it as an e-book and a one-off, sensory textile book with hand embellishment.

It still needs a bit of development and extra pages, but here’s a trailer…
