This is an outreach project which I’ve been working on for several weeks. The individual illustrations have been created by Tower Hamlets based community groups (including local primary schools, classes for elderly participants and a few of my own characters).
The image represents Poplar; past, present and future, from the suffragettes in East London, the current, constant redevelopment work and new high rise flats and the future of the area: further construction and jobs for local people.
I have a finalising meeting on Wednesday morning and the finished result will be put on permanent display at Poplar DLR station. This is a local station to me and it feels very exciting and a privilege to be involved in the making of something so close to home.
I have been chosen to exhibit some prints from my ‘London Fashion Doll’ series at the KPMG building (Canary Wharf) the opening will be on Tuesday 6th August from 7-8pm, let me know if you want to come and see all the wonderful art on display created by selected NVAN members: http://www.rosettaarts.org/nvan/ and I’ll pop your name on the guest list
(building normally closed to the public).

I had an interview for The ‘Wharf’ Newspaper on my work, which was published on Thursday :
I popped to The Canary Wharf ‘Idea Store’ today to see my work and it looks fantastic against the lime green walls it’s on until the 30th May, definately worth a visit!
I came across the work of Sena Gu in the display cabinets in Canary Wharf Shopping centre, her crockery has a clean, minimalist look, intricate detailing using one colour in a specific area which makes it stand out against the rest of the piece which is white. These are on my Xmas wish list!
