The piece is representative of ‘Poplar past, present and future’ the suffragettes in East London through to the development works and employment opportunities and communites in Tower Hamlets now…
It was a lovely morning, buzzing with people waiting for their doctors appointments and many got involved and added to the wallpaper…which is looking GREAT!
Saturday was my ‘Interactive Art Event’ in aid of Breast Cancer Care & Beating Bowel Cancer (this was the second I’ve held to develop the wallpaper).
The day was an enormous success (even more so than my last in September) Debut Contemporary Gallery was buzzing with people of all ages wanting to be involved with developing the Art piece, the colours from the Chilli installation by Toni Gallagher shone down on the wallpaper from above giving the window space at Debut a warm, cosy feel and the Farrow & Ball paints complemented the Breast Cancer Care & Beating Bowel Cancer pink balloons beautifully.
I aim to hold one more to complete the wallpaper; it will then be exhibited and sold with all profits being split between charities Breast Cancer Care & Beating Bowel Cancer.
I want to say a huge thank you to the Representatives of Beating Bowel Cancer for coming along and getting involved with the painting, Farrow & Ball for so kindly supporting the event by donating the paint, fellow Artist Susana Lopez for helping organise the event and taking wonderful photographs of the day and Debut Contemporary for all their help and giving me this opportunity.
