I had a wonderful time at the creative collage workshop this afternoon at The James Wigg Practice (Kentish Town).
Experimenting with collage, materials and composition reminded me so much of my first term of university and made me think about how much I miss just having the time to experiment and create with no set brief…
I’ve made a promise to myself to attend as many Art workshops/courses as possible…I feel them to be one of the best sources of inspiration for projects and the more creative processes one can use the more boundaries can be broken through/combined when creating…
I’m tempted to scan this one in and make a repeat pattern on Photoshop with the vase.
I can’t recommend the workshops enough, they’re completely free to do and re-start on Friday 11th March (2-5pm).

Each Artwork will be produced as an A5 (Giclee) print table card for the wedding meal and is representative of a part/journey of the Bride & Groom’s life:

Originally the Artworks have been hand illustrated by me and coloured by adults and children during my Interactive Art workshops (which were held to raise funds for charities Breast Cancer Care & Beating Bowel Cancer).
I’ve spent several days cleaning up the images on photoshop, altering the contrast levels and cleaning the background of marks, but striving to keep the pictures as close to the originals as possible, showing both the precise intricate patterns onto the characters garments and the ‘outside the lines’ colouring and scribbles from the little ones who got involved….
These three will be produced as framed, A1 Giclee prints
Gradually collecting art from my solo show at Free Space Gallery…… yesterday I collected the remaining artworks from hugely popular ‘Vintage Doll’ series, I’ll be dropping these off to exhibit at Debut Contemporary Gallery next week……
