Beautiful hand collaged birds created by 7 & 8 year olds in a recent workshop I facilitated for a large-scale commission piece.
I am now tracing the drawings on Illustrator (40 of them by hand) to create a large composition print which will go up in a public space (I’ll reveal all after next Wednesday).
But I just think the children’s work looks so lovely and the crisp lines created from tracing give them a really graphic, clean edge..I’m so happy and excited by the unfolding results!
Sorry to be a stranger of late, I’ve been working on a certain embroidery project….all with be revealed in a few weeks…but in the mean time here are some images of the development and inspiration has been: William Morris, Craft and nature…
Little tasters of a new embroidery project being worked on…
Inspiration and research include: British craft/textile history, nature and William Morris….
So my new blue birdie cushion seem to be immensely popular (wish I’d had more made in this order) thinking of getting a few A4 prints in blue and cream made up…..they make me feel cosey and at home, even when It’s bitterly cold outside….
WOWZA….I’ve finished designs for my ’12 Days of Christmas’ greeting cards range…
I’ve had lots of enquiries and can now confirm that I will be selling at a very special price of 12 cards for £10 to my friends (or £1.50 individually) I’m taking orders & payments now and the cards should be printed and ready to go in 2/3 weeks….
Let me know if you’d like some 🙂
